Los Angeles (AP) - After his request for an appearance, the organizers of the Grammy Awards invited US pop star Bruno Mars (35) to the gala.
Mars will perform together with his music colleague Anderson Paak as the band Silk Sonic at the event on Sunday evening (local time, Monday night CET) in Los Angeles, the organizers announced on Twitter.
Mars had previously also asked for an appearance via Twitter.
"Dear Grammys, if you would be so kind as to allow two unemployed musicians to appear on your show, then we would really appreciate that," wrote the musician who wrote the first song "Leave the Door Open with Silk Sonic" last week »Had published.
