Höchberg (dpa / lby) - A truckload of wood chips blocked federal highway 8 near Höchberg (Würzburg district) on Tuesday afternoon.
The driver of a truck probably drove too fast into a curve, the police said.
The truck tipped over, the loaded wood chips were distributed on the roadway.
The driver's cab of the 38-year-old driver was damaged and a driver helped the man out.
Rescue workers took him to the hospital, slightly injured.
The rescue and clean-up work took several hours, and the main road was partially closed.
The police estimate the property damage at around 80,000 euros.
