According to him, last year the courts passed more than 8 thousand convictions against 9 thousand people accused of corruption crimes.

"Last year, about 18% of those convicted were sentenced to real imprisonment, 35% to conditional imprisonment, and 40% to a fine," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, told how many criminal cases of corruption were initiated in the country in 2020.
