The Paris Bourse resumed its march forward Tuesday noon (+ 0.38%), after a sluggish start, taking advantage of an opening announced positive on Wall Street in favor of a lull in the US bond market, and prospects positive growth in Europe.

After a hesitant opening, the CAC 40 index rose 22.44 points to 5,925.43 points around 1:15 p.m.

The day before, it had finished up sharply by 2.08%, crossing the threshold of 5,900 points for the first time since the end of February 2020.

"In the immediate future, the yield of the 10-year (US) Treasury bill fell again this morning, which is a favorable factor for equities," notes Franklin Pichard, the managing director of Kiplink Finance.

This drop in the US ten-year rate, which was moving around 1.53%, down 6 basis points from the previous day's close, could also explain "that the Nasdaq is showing signs of a rebound". after US index futures, according to Michael Hewson, chief analyst at CMC Markets UK.

The sector rotation at work for several days also continued, with investors favoring the securities that have fallen the most because of the Covid-19 crisis to the detriment of technological stocks in particular, whose valuation, currently very high, is also very dependent on a low interest rate environment.

The prospect of a very strong recovery in the United States, while the House of Representatives must give its final approval on Tuesday to an aid plan of 1.900 billion dollars, has therefore benefited in recent days to more traditional sectors (tour operators , industry, automobile ...) sensitive to the economic situation.

In terms of statistics, the OECD has sharply revised upwards, to 5.6%, its forecast for global growth in 2021, counting on the combined effects of the US mega-stimulus plan and vaccination, in its interim outlook published on Tuesday. .

For 2021, the growth of the French economy will be "at least equal to 5%", estimated Tuesday the governor of the Bank of France, François Villeroy de Galhau, on France Info.
