Potsdam (dpa / bb) - The value of infections with the corona virus within a week per 100,000 inhabitants has continued to fall in Brandenburg.

According to the Ministry of Health, it was 61.5 on Tuesday after 63.4 on Monday and a value of 63.7 on Sunday.

The districts Oberspreewald-Lausitz (126.2), Elbe-Elster (105.1) and Teltow Fläming (101.2) were therefore still above the 100 mark. All other districts and independent cities recorded a value below 100. The lowest Frankfurt (Oder) currently has a seven-day incidence with a value of 19.0.

136 people were infected with the corona virus within one day, on Monday there were 76. However, four districts and three urban districts had not transmitted any data.

3484 people are sick nationwide.

Nine Covid-related deaths were added within one day.

324 patients are currently being treated in the hospital, 90 of them are under intensive care, 75 need ventilation.

71,717 people are considered to have recovered - 306 more than the day before.

The number of corona vaccinations administered so far in the state of Brandenburg is a total of 213,360. Of these, 135,313 people received a first vaccination, and 78,047 were vaccinated for the second time.

With a 3.1 percent share of second vaccinations in the population, the state is roughly in line with the national average.

When it comes to first vaccinations, however, according to data from the Robert Koch Institute, Brandenburg comes in last nationwide with 5.4 percent.

Health Minister Ursula Nonnemacher admitted deficiencies in the previous vaccination plan on Monday.

"We have to pick up a lot more speed," said the minister.
