Hundreds of protesters in Myanmar are trapped in a residential area in the country's largest city, Yangon, chased by security forces who forcibly suppressed the ongoing protests.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres calls on the military junta to release the protesters in a calm and secure manner.
"Many of those captured are women who marched peacefully to celebrate International Women's Day," said Guterre's spokesman Stephane Dujarric.
