Oslo (AP) - The Norwegian ski association does not want to accept the disqualification of skier Johannes Klaebo at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf on Sunday.

"We basically do not agree with the disqualification because we do not see that he has done something reprehensible," said cross-country director Espen Bjervig the Norwegian radio.

An objection was lodged.

According to the Norwegian Ski Association, this was a racing incident.

Klaebo had been denied the victory of the race over 50 kilometers in the classic technique because he had obstructed the Russian Alexander Bolshunov at the finish.

The gold medal went to the Norwegian Emil Iversen, who finished second.

Bolshunov broke a ski pole in a duel with Klaebo and came third.

Due to the disqualification of Klaebos, he moved up to the silver rank.
