Leipzig (dpa / sn) - On Tuesday, the Elbe divides the Free State into two areas of influence: East of the Elbe, a high pressure area provides light veils and sunny hours.

A slight low is approaching from the west and ensures a predominantly cloudy sky in the Vogtland, as a spokeswoman for the German Weather Service (DWD) announced.

Until the evening hours, the low continues to pull in over the west of Saxony and brings more clouds.

During the day it remains mostly dry with temperatures between 5 and 7 degrees.

The night brings occasional rain and light snowfall.

Up to 2 centimeters of fresh snow can fall in the western Ore Mountains and Vogtland.

In western Saxony, the night brings lows of minus 1 degree.

To the east as far as the Lausitz, temperatures can drop to minus 6 to minus 7 degrees.
