End of royal silence.

After the explosive interview with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry broadcast on CBS on Sunday, Buckingham Palace released a press release on Tuesday March 9 to react to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's comments.

"The whole family is saddened to learn how difficult the past few years have been for Harry and Meghan," the Palace said, stressing that the couple and their son Archie "will always be much loved family members."

The accusations of racism formulated by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are "worrying" and will be taken "very seriously", also specifies Buckingham Palace in its press release.

"The issues raised, especially those related to race, are of concern. Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be treated by the family in private," the Palace added.
