On Monday, the city of Helsingborg announced that there will be no ordinary student celebrations originating on the terrace stairs and that this year's students will already be preparing for an alternative student celebration.

- I grew up with my mother telling me about how to run down the terrace stairs, walk seven laps around the Capricorn statue and it feels very sad not to be allowed to do that, says Clara Johnsson Jänkhe, high school student at Nicolaiskolan.

"You want to be in place"

If the infection situation worsens, a digital student celebration with relatives at a distance may also become relevant - something that high school students hope to avoid.

- It feels very strange.

You want to be on site and meet the people even if you can not hug as you usually do, says Ida Hedlund, high school student Nicolaiskolan.
