Hamburg (dpa / lno) - The newly founded European League of Football (ELF) has announced two more starters for the European professional league in American football.

As the organization announced on Tuesday, the Hamburg Sea Devils and the Frankfurt Galaxy will also be part of the party.

Game operations are scheduled to start in June.

Both the Sea Devils and the Galaxy had played in the NFL Europe until they were hired in 2007.

Hamburg was even the last title holder of the branch of the North American Football League.

The NFL has approved the use of the naming rights for the teams from Hamburg and Frankfurt.

In the premiere season, the EFL wants to start with eight teams from three nations.

Besides the Sea Devils and the Galaxy, these are the Stuttgart Scorpions, the German Knights 1367 Niedersachsen, the Ingolstadt Praetorians, a team from Berlin to be named, the Polish champions Wroclaw Panthers and the Barcelona Gladiators from Spain.

13 league games are to be broadcast live on Pro7 Maxx.
