From the beginning, around 200 people had heard about it and registered an interest in the apartment.

But when it finally came time for bidding, they had been reduced to "only" 59.

Christer Normark, who has been discouraged from a future career as a real estate agent, says on Tuesday afternoon that after a third round of bidding, a 6-7 stakeholders were finally screened out.

- A number have now been crystallized that are more serious than others based on the price picture, Normark says.

He has had to spend some time in telephone conversations with the various stakeholders and it has emerged that many do not really know what a condominium in Sorsele, in the interior of Norrland, really means.

- We do not want to end up in a situation where someone feels cheated after the purchase, Normark says.

Has increased interest in Sorsele

But even though some have been advised against this particular purchase, the conversations with "broker" Normark have created interest in the municipality.

- We have a lot of people who will not buy these condominiums but who have aroused interest in Sorsele as a municipality, we have many who have said that they should come here and look at other objects, says Christer Normark.

He continues:

- We have already rented out apartments through our housing company, so that there have been rings on the water, we will not detract.

He tells, among other things, about a family from Stockholm who were interested in bidding on the apartment, but who changed.

- After talks, we agreed that this was not what they were looking for, instead they will come up here to Sorsele this summer and we will help them find another object, a smaller house or holiday home, Normark says.

But he says the focus for him right now is to get this deal done.

- Our mission from politics is that we should sell these condominiums and we should succeed in that, but I will probably never become a broker, says Christer Normark and laughs.
