Events: The murderer of the nurse from Alcalá de Henares attacked the victim on his birthday and stabbed in the genital area
The National Police are investigating whether the 38-year-old ambulance driver, who last Saturday killed a nurse at the Alcalá Hospital out of alleged jealousy,
could have accessed the private conversations that his girlfriend Carolina had with the mortal victim that day
, in those who were credited with being more than friends.
The agents try to find out if the alleged criminal
copied the SIM card of his partner's mobile in
order to spy on her and discover that Carolina was the lover of Sergio, the murdered nurse.
Gonzalo was arrested by the National Police after stabbing Sergio, 42 years old.
He was on vacation, but last Saturday he dressed in his work uniform as a technician in Health Emergencies
for the ambulance company Ferrovial.
He entered the Alcalá Hospital where his girlfriend Carolina and Sergio worked in the emergency room.
In one of his pockets he carried a knife that he had taken from his house.
Gonzalo
found Sergio in the ER rest area and stabbed him several times,
some in the genital area, until he ended his life without any discussion between them.
He was instantly detained by two National Police officers who were guarding a woman in the hospital and who prevented Gonzalo from hiding in a room.
The alleged murderer had long
suspected that his girlfriend was unfaithful to Sergio,
according to several close associates of the driver.
Gonzalo even asked Carolina if it was true that she was with Sergio, but she always denied it.
Gonzalo's friends explain that
in recent weeks he has been somewhat nervous and unconcentrated
and that he hinted that things were not going well with Carolina, "with whom he was deeply in love" and with whom he had been in a relationship for more than four years.
However, Gonzalo continued to distrust and even
watched to see if Carolina and Sergio coincided on the work shift.
Last Saturday, the ER colleagues made a collection to buy a gift for Sergio, who turned 43 on Sunday.
The idea came, according to several of them, from Carolina herself.
That day Gonzalo, according to the investigators, was able to learn about some of the messages that Carolina and Sergio exchanged.

In Alcalá, several hundred workers at the Príncipe de Asturias Hospital observed a minute of silence in memory of
a comrade "a fighter who was always on the front line."
The professionals of the Prince of Asturias, still shocked by Sergio's murder, continue to receive psychological support from hospital professionals "to help them deal with this tragedy," union sources from the center told Efe, shaken by the impact of such a tremendous crime .
