Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - After several hundred people celebrated in the Frankfurt Hafenpark over the weekend and sometimes disregarded the Corona rules, the city has called a "Corona hotspot conference" for noon today (12.00 p.m.).

The aim is to work through the events of the weekend and to discuss preventive measures for the next few weeks, it said.

The security department also pointed out that the "AHA rules" had to be anchored in the mind again.

In addition, there is still a ban on alcohol in public spaces.

In addition to Security Department Markus Frank (CDU), Mayor Peter Feldmann (SPD), Police President Gerhard Bereswill, Health Department Stefan Majer (Greens), Environment Department Head Rosemarie Heilig (Greens) and Head of Public Order Karin Müller take part in the meeting.

At the weekend, many mostly young people gathered in Frankfurt's Hafenpark, with music and alcohol - and sometimes without a mask or distance.

The police ended several events on Saturday before they finally cleared the park completely on Sunday night.

Previously there was an argument in which a 28-year-old was injured.

The man was treated as an outpatient in the hospital.
