A teenager wants to hide his wrongdoing - and with this lie sets in motion a fateful chain reaction, at the end of which a man loses his life under cruel circumstances: This is the scenario that the French newspaper “Le Parisien” drew up on Sunday for the Samuel Paty case .

The teacher was killed and beheaded by an Islamist on October 16 near Paris.

Previously, the parents of a schoolgirl had been upset about his lessons - Paty had discussed the subject of freedom of expression on October 6th and also showed the Mohammed cartoons published in the magazine "Charlie Hebdo".

The exact circumstances of the murder are currently being analyzed by a commission of inquiry, from the results of which “Le Parisien” is now quoted.

This confirmed a suspicion that had been circulating for a long time: The 13-year-old student - a Muslim whose father was probably one of the instigators of the murder committed by an 18-year-old of Chechen origin - had lied about one crucial point: she was Not in class that day when Paty showed the cartoons.

The teenage girl only "wanted to please" her father with her stories about the day and at the same time wanted to hide her own school problems, the newspaper writes.

The lawyer sees an ominous "spiral"

The family lawyer has now confirmed the representation.

The 13-year-old did not feel well that day and therefore did not show up for class.

Previously, she had repeatedly attracted attention due to disciplinary misconduct, which she did not inform her father about - a disastrous "spiral", according to lawyer Mbeko Tabula.

On October 7th, Brahim C., the student's father, made his indignation about the alleged incident public on social networks - according to him, the teacher asked the Muslim students to leave the room in order to then show the naked people who saw the prophets should represent.

The teacher, whom he also named, should be dismissed.

Later, C. also filed a criminal complaint with minors for showing pornography.

An investigation is currently underway against him and numerous other parties involved.

Paty had always denied the allegation that he had asked students to leave and, in turn, filed charges against the father for defamation and defamation.

The reports in the social media then also reached, according to the previous investigations, the later murderer Abdulach A., who took action on October 16.

The contribution from “Le Parisien” was picked up by numerous English-language media.

The "Guardian" reconstructs the case and writes of a "tragic chain reaction" triggered by the lie of a teenager.
