On March 9, when talking about cross-strait cooperation, Lin Yifu, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics of Peking University, pointed out that, to use a specific metaphor, a large economy is like an aircraft carrier, and a small economy is like a small ship. Fishing boats encounter the same wind and waves. For an aircraft carrier, no matter how heavy the wind and waves are, they can still sail smoothly; however, small fishing boats may capsize.

Lin Yifu said that both sides of the strait are Chinese people. Of course, we all hope for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. We hope that the two sides of the strait can strengthen cooperation so that the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation can be realized in our generation.
