The hundreds of people who gathered in central Stockholm on Saturday to demonstrate lacked permits, which is why the police disbanded the demonstration with the support of the Pandemic Act.

A riot broke out during the police intervention and five policemen were injured and about 50 people were abducted by the police.

"Not worse than seasonal flu"

According to Filip Sjöström, who has a background as an economist and self-employed, the purpose of the demonstration was to question the current restrictions in society, restrictions that he believes do more harm than good in society and also have no basis in reality.

- What is different now?

Is it a giant lethal virus that kills many people?

I do not see it, he says and adds that he has not found any support for a pandemic in Sweden's official statistics on the number of dead or sick.

- I see nothing to indicate that it is worse than a normal seasonal flu.

Hidden agenda

When asked by SVT Nyheter if he believes that there is a hidden agenda behind the authorities' restrictions, Filip Sjöström answers that there are many who make big money from the pandemic and the restrictions, not least the big pharmaceutical companies, but that he is not sure that there is a agenda:

- Is that what is behind this?

I ask myself that question all day and I have no answer yet.

How can you be sure that new demonstrations will not lead to more infections and more deaths?

- I can never be completely sure.

I'm convinced of that, but I'm not 100 percent sure.
