March 08, 2021 The hugely popular comedy TV channel TNT (similar to Comedy Club), owned by the hydrocarbon giant Gazprom, has censored comedian Pavel Volia for his "Putin palace" gag.

The piece was cut and disappeared from the TV channel's online platform.

Some sites have retrieved it and uploaded it to social media.

In the piece, the comedian talks about an online furore caused by Alexei Navalny's investigative film on the alleged "Putin's palace".

The comedian mentions neither Navalny nor Putin, but the allusion is all too clear.

In the cut piece, the Russian comedian talks about the fact that he is often asked to comment on various events.

As an example, he recounted how one day he was helping his son with his math homework, and then his phone "exploded" with messages about the "building".

He then watched an investigation on YouTube and read the comments, where "everyone knows exactly everything".

One writes: "It is definitely his palace."

Another writes: 'It is certainly not his' ", says the comedian. Then he makes a joke about Vladimir Putin's friend, the billionaire Arkady Rotenberg, who after the scandal aroused by the investigation of Alexei Navalny, declared that the he was the owner of the building.

The comedian continues: "My friend, comedian colleague of this show, showed me his building, telling me - look what building I own ... if, however, some investigation were to start, then, Paoletto, this building it's yours!".
