Neuwied (dpa / lrs) - In an accident on federal highway 256 between the Torney junction and Neuwied Kreuz, one person was seriously injured and another person was slightly injured.
As the police announced on Monday, according to initial findings in the morning, two cars were initially driving next to each other in the two lanes in the direction of Neuwied and slowing down for reasons that were not yet clear.
A man driving behind recognized the situation too late and crashed into the two cars with almost no brakes.

The federal road was closed while the rescue workers were on duty.
