Since 2011, Gotlanders have had the opportunity to choose private home care according to the Freedom of Choice System Act, LOV.
But as it has looked so far, there have been no private providers of home care services all over Gotland.
In some parishes, only Region Gotland's own home care service has been available to choose from.
