Greifswald (dpa / mv) - From mid-March, visitors should be able to visit the permanent exhibitions of the Pomeranian State Museum in Greifswald again.

The exhibitions on the history of the earth, the Pomeranian regional history up to the Baltic Sea tourism around 1900 as well as the painting collection should reopen on March 16, the museum announced on Monday.

Like all museums, it had to close last November due to the corona pandemic.

According to the announcement, the summer opening times apply in order to equalize the flow of visitors.

An appointment is also necessary and hygiene requirements such as the mask requirement must be observed.

The prerequisite for opening is that the number of registered new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald remained stable below 100.

According to Sunday's figures, the value was 98.5.

The museum shop is scheduled to reopen on March 10th - also with an appointment.

The museum announced that its website is currently offline because it has been hacked.

Appointments could be made by email or phone.
