Barntrup (AP) - In an accident with a garbage truck, a 71-year-old pedestrian and his dog were killed in Barntrup, east of Bielefeld.
According to the police, the man wanted to walk in front of the stationary vehicle on Monday when it started again and caught the pedestrian and his dog.
Why the driver did not notice the two is now part of the investigation.
The vehicle was secured.
The police hired an appraiser.
