An idyllic setting: the hills of Val Tidone, in the province of Piacenza, in northern Italy.
A dream home: that of a communication professional who lives and works in Milan, and who loves to retire to her home on weekends with her partner and their dogs.

The concept of the spectacular Piacenza residence stems from a contemporary interpretation of the stable, which in the agricultural area where it is located usually has a long façade and represents a typical example of local architecture.
However, although the house includes clear references to regional traditions, the character of its exterior and interior decoration is purely modern.
And in it, everything is sustainable: from the location and orientation of the building, which optimizes sun exposure, to the choice of materials with high insulation capacity, through geothermal heating and cooling.
Indoor
Through its 2020 Indoor and Outdoor collections, the Italian firm Flexform has endowed the home - the work of the Dutch architect Geert Koster - with a series of pieces that share style and manage to create a continuity between inside and outside.
Beyond time and fashions, terraces, porches and gardens become the extension of that cozy and protective interior habitat so that feeling at home is a possible sensation in any space of the house, which can accommodate up to ten people.
For this reason, the couple that inhabits it usually receives a visit from friends who stay for the weekend, come to enjoy a nice meal or spend the day.
Inside the house, there was a need for a table in the kitchen that would invite conversation between diners, a particularly comfortable sofa for the living room and, next to the large window that frames the panorama of the valley, armchairs where you could enjoy the views privileged.
But, in the countryside, a good part of the time is spent outdoors and, for this reason, the owner wanted to create true 'open-air rooms' that would allow the home to be fully enjoyed in all seasons of the year.
And he got it.
On the porch, with comfortable sofas, coffee tables that provide very practical support and an armchair for endless reading.
Already in the backyard, near the kitchen, a dining table makes it possible to have lunch or dinner outside.
A couple of armchairs, located on the west side of the house, allow you to enjoy the freshness of the countryside at sunset, admiring the sunset over the valley.

This is how Christophe Pillet summed up his design philosophy, applied to his First Steps chairs: the archetype of the chair-object.

ANY DAY CONSOLE, STEEL AND WALNUT
First was the Any Day console, a creation based on a stainless steel structure that supports American walnut plywood in multiple finishes, with practical drawers.
Later, Christophe Pillet applied this concept to the Any Day family of coffee tables in different sizes and finishes, and also to a pouf whose seat is made of paper cord or esparto, natural materials.
