Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The corona pandemic also has an impact on the number of foreign students in Baden-Württemberg.
In the 2020/21 winter semester, only 8,700 students with a foreign nationality began studying at one of the local German universities for the first time, as the State Statistical Office announced on Monday in Stuttgart.
According to the information, this is 27 percent less than in the 2019/20 winter semester.
The decline among German students, on the other hand, was only one percent.
Overall, the number of freshmen in the past winter semester fell by six percent to around 57,400.
