Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - The registered crime in North Rhine-Westphalia fell slightly by one percent in the Corona year 2020.

Murder and manslaughter fell, as did burglary and street crime, as NRW Interior Minister Herbert Reul (CDU) reported on Monday.

The total number of crimes had already reached a 30-year low in 2019.

Computer crime, on the other hand, has risen sharply, including pickpockets, domestic violence and fraud against the elderly.

The cases of child pornography have doubled, which is due to the more intensive education in this area.

"That doesn't happen anymore, we just find more," said Reul.
