Bad Dürrenberg (dpa / sa) - Work on the graduation tower in Bad Dürrenberg (Saalekreis) is progressing.

The completion of the cross piece of the graduation system is planned for June, announced the Society of the State Horticultural Show (Laga) on Monday.

This part had been torn down and will now be rebuilt for the state horticultural show that will take place in 2023.

The renovation costs a total of around 2.9 million euros.

The spa park forms the core of the approximately 15 hectare state horticultural show grounds.

There is also the graduation house, according to the city, with a length of 636 meters, the longest connected, still preserved salt graduation system in Germany.

Years ago, the plant was used for salt production and is now used for spa purposes, as the salt content in the surrounding air is increased by the trickling brine.
