, Bernard Barresi, considered one of the last figures of Corsican-Marseille organized crime, was sentenced to eighteen months in prison, eight of which suspended, and a fine of 20,000 euros on Monday by the Marseille Criminal Court.

The fifty-year-old is accused of having laundered part of the loot of five million euros, obtained after a van robbery in 1990.

After years on the run, Bernard Barresi had already been sentenced in 2014 to 10 years in prison for this robbery of which he denies having been the author.

The ten months in prison to which he was sentenced can be executed in the form of an electronic bracelet at home.
