Mölln (dpa) - Even four days after the attack on a teacher in a Mölln language school, the attacker's motive is still unclear, according to the investigators.

The 32-year-old Syrian is still silent on the allegations, the police and prosecutors announced on Monday.

He allegedly attacked a 44-year-old school teacher with a knife on Thursday and injured the head.

According to the victim, the 32-year-old had attended a German course at the school in the past, the public prosecutor said.

However, he only taught the accused a few hours; the vast majority of the German lessons were given by other teachers.

A judge had issued an arrest warrant against the 32-year-old on Friday at the request of the public prosecutor's office on suspicion of attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.

He was taken to the Lübeck correctional facility.
