Munich (dpa) - FC Bayern is considering restructuring in the sporting sector.

According to the "kicker", chief scout Marco Neppe is to be promoted to technical director.

Neppe was once assistant to the then Technical Director Michael Reschke, who held this position from 2014 to 2017.

The former Bundesliga professional and Swiss national player Pirmin Schwegler is said to be Neppe's successor to the position of chief scout.

Schwegler has previously worked as a scout for the German record champions.

Neppe was most recently praised by sports director Hasan Salihamidzic as part of the announcement of the professional contract for Jamal Musiala (until 2026).

“I am very pleased that our system of discovering talented players, developing them and then integrating them into the professional team is bearing fruit.

Our chief scout Marco Neppe has done a very important job here, »said Salihamidzic.

Schwegler, who has been with FC Bayern's scouting team since November, is said to be closely involved in the Munich transfer project Omar Richards, according to "tz".

The change of the defender from the English second division FC Reading is getting closer and closer.

The media recently reported on a four-year contract until June 30, 2025.
