Hanover (dpa) - The tourism group Tui has asked the responsible politicians to give the travel providers clear guidelines for vacation trips under Corona conditions.

"Anyone who books a trip now would like to know when they can get back on the plane or board a ship," said the chairman of the Tui Germany management board, Marek Andryszak, of the "T-Online" portal.

«My appeal to politicians is therefore: enter into a partnership with us, set guidelines for traveling.

And then we implement it. "

In Andryszak's opinion, there could be “a clear message that every holidaymaker must present a negative test that is not older than 48 hours before leaving”.

The travel providers should check this.

«If you don't have one, you won't fly with you.

And the same thing could be done on the return journey. "

The manager does not anticipate rising travel prices - on the contrary: "The holidays will even be cheaper this year," said Andryszak.

If you compare the same travel times and lengths, the trips would be cheaper because many hotels are not fully booked.

The International Tourism Exchange (ITB) begins on Tuesday and will take place online until March 12th due to the corona pandemic.
