Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - A truck lost its load on Autobahn 9 and tore deep holes in the roadway.

The truck had loaded counterweights for cranes weighing ten tons, as the police announced on Sunday.

These were not secured.

In a bend on Autobahn 9 near the Nürnberg-Fischbach junction, the truck had got into a lean and lost part of its load.

A weight slipped over all the lanes and broke the guardrail.

The 60-year-old driver was uninjured in the accident on Saturday afternoon and brought his truck to a stop.

A 58-year-old driver had to apply emergency braking to avoid a collision with the cuboid.

A 19-year-old driver overlooked a car in front of him because of the dust that was blown up and drove into it.

These drivers were also uninjured.
