Magdeburg (dpa / sa) - Structural witnesses to industrial history in Saxony-Anhalt are the focus of this year's Urban Redevelopment Awards.
The motto of the competition loudly "Shaping cities - preserving and experiencing industrial culture" was announced by the Ministry for State Development and Transport and the Urban Redevelopment Competence Center in Magdeburg on Saturday.
It is about outstanding projects that preserve, rethink and continue the industrial heritage between Arendsee and Zeitz, it said.
Owners, project promoters, planners and initiatives can apply until April 12th.
At the end of January, Lutherstadt Wittenberg was awarded the prize for 2020, which was all about 30 years of urban redevelopment.
The award is not endowed and was presented for the first time in 2018.
