Munich (dpa / lhe) - SV Wehen Wiesbaden suffered a setback in the promotion of the 3rd soccer league.

The Hessians lost 2-0 (0-1) at Bayern Munich II on Sunday and fell back to fifth in the table with 44 points behind the tied 1. FC Saarbrücken.

A curious own goal by Wehen goalkeeper Tim Boss (25th minute) and a goal by Maximilian Zaiser (90th + 4) sealed the first defeat for the relegated second division after ten unbeaten games.

Most recently, the Hessians lost at MSV Duisburg in mid-December.

The gap to a direct promotion position is now four points and would even increase to six points if third in the table FC Ingolstadt won on Monday evening.

The team of coach Rüdiger Rehm had a hard time against the Bayern reserve.

To make matters worse, goalkeeper Boss wiped the ball unhappily over the line of his own goal after a rebound from the inner post.

When the SVWW pressed the equalizer in the closing stages, Zaiser made a decision after a Bayern corner kick with a shot into the far corner.
