Biere / Hanover (dpa) - A drunk driver without a license went into the network three times within 16 hours.

For the first time, the man was checked on Saturday night on a country road with beers in Saxony-Anhalt because he had driven unsafe.

The 40-year-old from the Saxon town of Pirna had a breath alcohol level of 1.35 per mille, the police said on Sunday.

Not twelve hours later, officials stopped the man in Atzendorf in the Salzland district.

Now, according to the police, the measuring device even showed almost two per thousand.

The man's car keys were taken away.

According to the information, police officers in Hanover then pulled him out of traffic on Saturday evening - this time with a breath alcohol level of 1.77 per mille.

The 40-year-old stated that he simply used the duplicate key.

This was then also taken from him.

"One can only hope that he does not have a third," said the police report.
