Vetlanda is one of the cities in Sweden that does not have its own police station.

That is not good, thinks Anders Thornberg.

- It is a dilemma every day to decide where we should have the resources.

We need to be more, this clearly shows.

We have grown by a thousand police officers since 2016, we will grow by five thousand police officers until 2024, he says.

"Can not be everywhere"

But opening more local police stations is not always the best solution, but visible police in police cars can be another way to create security in cities, he continues.

- You can not be everywhere and even if we were to be many more, there will be situations where we can not be there, but when it happens, we must be prepared to take care of it as soon as possible.
