Hanover (dpa / lni) - The police in Hanover are looking for an infant and his mother.

Both have disappeared since Thursday, said a police spokeswoman on Sunday.

The 30-year-old mother was supposed to hand over the baby and her two other small children to the care of the youth welfare office based on a court order.

Two children aged one and three are also in care, but there is no trace of the almost four-week-old girl and her mother.

Since the woman is psychologically abnormal, according to the police, a risk to the child's welfare cannot be ruled out.

The previous extensive search has not been successful.
