07 March 2021 Olivier Dassault, son of air force and helicopter industrialist Serge Dassault, dies at 69 in a helicopter crash not far from Deauville, Normandy.



President Emmanuel Macron paid tribute to the memory of Olivier Dassault, who was a deputy of the Right of the Republicains.

Olivier Dassault "loved France - wrote Macron in a tweet - captain of industry, deputy, local administrator, commander in aviation: throughout his life he has always served our country, valuing its qualities. His sudden death is a great loss ".



Olivier Dassault was the son of the industrialist, businessman, politician and billionaire Serge Dassault, who passed away in 2018 and in turn was the son of Marcel Dassault, engineer and founder of the family empire.

The assets of Olivier Dassault, his two brothers and his sister are valued at around 5 billion euros each.
