7 March 2021 According to an analysis by Tuttoscuola, based on data from the Gimbe Foundation, 9 out of 10 Italian students (90.1%) of the 8.5 million are likely to end up in distance learning in the coming days, due to the new Dpcm of pupils enrolled in state and equal schools

It would be 7.6 million children who would remain at home under the new provision that provides for the closure of schools in areas with more than 250 weekly infections per 100 thousand inhabitants.

Specifically, according to the calculations of Tuttoscuola, there could therefore be 7,668,000 (more than 9 out of 10) students of state and equal schools out of a total of 8,506,000 forced to follow the lessons at a distance.

The data also includes about 1,235,000 preschool children excluded from face-to-face educational activities at school.

The regions affected by this total closure that would add to the already known situations are Lazio with 821.329, Veneto with 680.096, Emilia Romagna with 620.423, Piedmont with 573.231, Tuscany with 504.616.

Sicily (index to 142) could be saved from this total closure with 615,891 pupils at school, Val d'Aosta (index 113) with 15,552 in attendance and Sardinia (index 61) with 207,286 pupils in the white zone.

Overall, there would be 838,712 (9.9%) pupils in attendance at school and 7,668,053 (90.1%) in dad, with the usual alternation of 50% for high school students in the regions where it is allowed.

With reference to the different school sectors, 158,097 children in kindergarten (11.3%), 287,948 primary school pupils (11%), 191,336 lower secondary school pupils (11%) would follow the teaching activities at school (11%). 2%) and partially alternating at 50% 201,331 high school students (7.2%).
