Nordhausen (dpa / th) - A fatal accident occurred on Sunday in northern Thuringia.
According to the police, a car driver on the federal highway 247 got into the opposite lane and collided with a truck.
The accident occurred near Worbis at the Breitenbach exit (Eichsfeld district).
The identity of the driver, who died at the scene of the accident, has not yet been clarified, the police said.
The investigation into the cause of the accident was still ongoing.
The B 247 between the junctions had to be temporarily closed.
The traffic was diverted.
