Bielefeld (dpa) - Arminia Bielefeld's managing director Samir Arabi has confirmed that the change of coach for the Bundesliga club threatened with relegation is “no guarantee” of relegation.

"But we see it as an opportunity that we all get into this boat and paddle forward from the laundress to the captain," said the 42-year-old on Sunday shortly before the game against 1. FC Union Berlin on pay TV Sky transmitter.

Arminia had separated from Uwe Neuhaus and signed Frank Kramer

He can understand the criticism from parts of the fans, with whom Neuhaus is very popular, said Arabi.

The decision was made out of "full conviction".

"It's about the association, not just about individuals," said the managing director.

Kramer then said on Sky: "Of course we try to win the game in every game."
