Lubmin (dpa / mv) - The fire in a thatched two-family house in Lubmin (Vorpommern-Greifswald district) caused property damage of around 400,000 euros.

The house burned in full late on Saturday evening, the police said on Sunday.

A shed also burned on the property.

The three residents of the house were able to save themselves and were unharmed.

Around 50 firefighters were involved in the extinguishing work.

The cause of fire was unclear for the moment.

After a fire, an apartment in Greifswald is currently not habitable.

Early on Sunday morning oil ignited in a pan there.

The fire spread to the kitchen furniture and set the apartment on fire.

Two men were not injured.

Five other residents of the apartment building had to leave their apartments temporarily, three of them were rescued by the fire brigade.

The fire was extinguished after around 20 minutes.

25 firefighters were on duty here, and property damage is estimated at 20,000 euros.
