The fatal accident occurred this Sunday morning, shortly before 10 a.m. in Rauwiller, in the north-west of Alsace, near the Moselle.

Following an exit from the road in his vehicle, a man died, according to the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of Bas-Rhin.

The 30-year-old victim collided head-on with a tree and did not survive the shock.

When help arrived, the motorist was incarcerated, unconscious, and was declared dead by the doctor from the Dragon 67 helicopter, who arrived on site as a backup.
