Mainz (dpa / lrs) - The health authorities in Rhineland-Palatinate reported 223 new corona infections on Sunday.
5679 people in the country are currently infected with the Sars-CoV-2 virus, as the state investigation office announced (as of 11.10 a.m.).
The number of patients who died with or from the virus rose by one person to 3,162.
The so-called seven-day incidence, i.e. the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days, was 46 on Saturday in Rhineland-Palatinate and thus above the value of the previous day (43.7).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 104 239 people in the country have been infected with the corona virus.
The highest incidence was still in the district of Germersheim with 130.2.
