● "Judge by looking at the anti-Japanese tribalism"...

Japan's far-right e-mail

to Nobel laureate Professor Eric Maskin of the Harvard Department of Economics was the first to be named as a Nobel Prize laureate on the forums of economists who opposed Harvard Ramsay's thesis.

As the highest authority in the field of'Game Theory', his signing on the paper was a symbolic event of how many flaws were in Professor Ramsey's thesis.

(Professor Ramzier used the game theory of economics as the logic of developing the distorted dissertation.) However, it turned out that the Japanese far right sent a protest email to Professor Maskin very quickly.

At first, I heard rumors that Maskin had'received a strange e-mail', but when I searched all over the place and obtained the full e-mail, the content was spectacle.

The sender was a far-right organization called The Global Allocance for Historical Truth.

A famous far-right group founded by a figure named Mera Koichi, the group that led the litigation for the demolition of the girl statue established in the City of Glendale.

American historians were notorious for being a group that held a'data bomb' to the extent that they constantly sent distorted data related to comfort women to the minds of scholars.

They sent a protest email directly to the Nobel Prize winners at how nervous they were watching the situation in the market.

From the beginning of their e-mail to Maskin, they asked, "You criticized Ramsay's comfort women thesis, and please look at the data we send and make a final position."

The comfort women sent a summary of four items claiming to be prostitutes, but in fact, it was not of great value because the facts of distortion of the evidence were already mentioned in the verification reports by American scholars.

However, it was remarkable that item 3 was <Anti-Japanese Tribalism> written by former Seoul National University professor Young-Hoon Lee.

They introduced this material as "a book written on a wealth of historical data showing that comfort women are traditional prostitutes serving the Japanese military."

I also emphasized that it was the best seller in both Korea and Japan in 2019.

In the meantime, I was kindly guided to the fact that if you look at page 83, you can see the comfort women part while attaching files.

The last sentence expressed their position, saying, "Only those who have lost the war do not have the freedom to complain."

It is meaningful that this e-mail was delivered by Japanese far-rights to show them the essence of far-right logic to the Nobel Prize winners.

It was surprising that the anti-Japanese tribalism of former Professor Young-Hoon Lee was at its core.

Professor Ramsey cited the data of former Professor Young-Hoon Lee in his thesis, but it was remarkable that Japanese far-rights now have anti-Japanese tribalism at the core of their arguments.

It is an incident that shows how tightly connected the Korean far right and the Japanese far right replicate data with each other.

● Murder threats over several years…

"Go home as soon as I see the message of killing."

When I discovered Professor Ramsey's ridiculous thesis that Koreans are a group of gangsters, I interviewed Professor Alexis Durdon of the Department of History at Connecticut University to discuss how anti-Japanese tribalism is used in Japan. I went over the question and answering lightly.

I went over with a statement to the effect that the far right in Japan and the far right in Korea are becoming remarkably similar, but Professor Durden made a phone call after finishing the interview.

In the meantime, he poured out something about the threats and harassment he had faced by the Japanese far-right.

It was the first time I heard everything, so I was honestly surprised.

In fact, I thought it would be best for us to publicize this issue as an article, as it was unlikely that the American media would deal with it as an article.

However, in the video interview, when I saw that I did not speak and called separately, it seemed that I had no intention of speaking right away.

My doctor was the most important thing, so I was discussing what to do on this issue, and then I sorted out a questionnaire and sent it to me first, and eventually I decided that I would take an interview in this regard.

Professor Durden, one of the scholars who has sent strong criticisms about the distortion of history on the comfort women issue, is a thorn in the Japanese extreme.

The World Federation for Historical Truth, which emailed Professor Maskin, was a very familiar organization to Durden.

I laughed when I said that there were eight of the same books that the group sent.

Now dead, but the head of the group, Mera Koichi appeared when he was giving a lecture in California and made a fuss at the event, saying, "You don't seem to know what to do, so I'll let you know."

Professor Durdon's target for the far right in Japan dates back to 2004.

At the time, the Internet was not as developed as it is now, and there was no Twitter, so most of the protests were direct mail and parcels.

By constantly sending out unwanted material, it kept giving me the signal that'I'm watching your actions'.

Then, a threatening call started coming directly to the office.

A call came in Japanese shouting whale whales, shouting "I'll kill you," and hanging up. Professor Durdon said he was reminiscent of the Yakuza.

He explained that there are thousands of complaint emails received so far.

He said that if ten mails were protest, there was only one cheering mail in Japan from conscientious forces in Japan to thank them for telling them what they couldn't say.

The most intense offensive exploded in 2017 when Professor Durden posted a criticism column aimed at Prime Minister Abe in the newspaper.

A few years ago, I was waiting for a transfer flight at Chicago's O'Hare Airport to go on a business trip to Japan, and an e-mail message that "I'm going to kill it" arrived.

It is said that the child is at home with the babysitter, so he canceled the business trip without hesitation and just returned home.

I was so upset when I heard that Japanese far-right actors attacked Professor Durden by sexually targeting him.

Unbelievable verbal abuse and sexual assault continued, and finally, it became a level that was synthesized into sexual exploitation.

Professor Durdon collected this data, reported it to the police, and confirmed that the investigation was underway.

When asked if anyone had been arrested, he said that he knew it would take time because it was a matter that needed international cooperation, but he said he would not pressure the investigation to be done quickly.

As a university professor, he said, if you are threatened with murder, you have to report it to the school authorities and the police.

He said that in the United States, where guns are always a problem, there is a possibility that someone will show up at school with a gun, so he always cares about it.

When intimidation struck, the police casually introduced that they even went around their home patrols.

● Scholars suffering from extreme right forces…

"The real victims are the grandmothers,"

Professor Durden said, besides himself, there are more scholars in the United States who are attacked by these Japanese far-rights.

However, the people who feel the greatest threat are their fellow scholars in Japan.

Some people have been threatened to set up a bomb, and others have been threatened to kill their children.

In Japan, there are cases in which the far-right forces go to the front of the house with a car with a large loudspeaker to perform armed demonstrations, and some scholars have actually left Japan, he said.

Professor Durdon stressed several times throughout the interview that he was not a real victim.

He said he was a privileged person, who was guaranteed a retirement age at a university in the United States, and he said he had to endure this much because he was a public worker.

Professor Durdon said that the real victims were'grandmothers' (Professor Durden always expressed it as a grandmother, saying that he didn't want to use the word comfort women.)

They are already comfort women victims, but they explained that denying the pain they suffered is making them twice as victims.

Besides, I told the grandmothers if I had done threats, insults, and sexual harassment in the same way I did to them, was it really a problem?

Professor Durdon was taking a bolder approach to the Japanese far-rights making such a grim attempt to gag scholars.
