Representatives of the Democratic Party do not intend to forgive the Republicans for accusations of electoral fraud and will take revenge on their opponents by all available means.

Including using against them information posted by them on the Internet.

This point of view was expressed by experts interviewed by RT.

“And it's not only about blocking in social networks, but also about real criminal terms.

The Democratic Party is very close to the people who own and manage the IT companies that influence modern communication.

They will find a way how to get the necessary dirt on the Republicans.

But in most cases, hidden information will not even be required - public statements will be taken as the basis, ”said Nikita Danyuk, deputy director of the RUDN Institute for Strategic Research and Forecasts, a member of the Public Chamber, in an interview with RT.

In turn, Konstantin Blokhin, a researcher at the Center for Security Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, believes that the Democrats "are trying to start a more active witch hunt."

“They want to pursue their opponents with dirty methods, keep them on target and prevent them from carrying out political activities.

However, the ultimate goal is to get rid of competitors altogether, "he said in an interview with RT.

Earlier, the head of the Administrative Committee of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Democrat Zoe Lofgren, published a report of almost two thousand pages with a selection of statements on social networks of more than a hundred congressmen - representatives of the Republican Party.

The report states that it analyzed content posted by Republican congressmen on social media between November 3, 2020 and January 31, 2021.

In their posts, supporters of Donald Trump have supported his claims of rigging the 2020 presidential election.

According to Lofgren, the statements of the most active of them could have helped fuel the riot on January 6, when the rebels stormed the Capitol.

“Like former President Trump, any elected member of Congress who aided insurgency or instigated an assault posed a serious threat to our democratic government.

These actions can be regarded as a violation of the oath and fall under the same provision of the Constitution, which is given in the article on impeachment.

According to this regulation, anyone who has previously sworn an oath as a member of Congress to support the Constitution, but who subsequently participated in an uprising or rebellion, is prohibited from continuing to serve in Congress, ”the Lofgren report said.

In her opinion, publicly available statements “can be the subject of analysis from the point of view of the attitude of the Congress to its constitutional prerogatives and responsibilities” and even be subject to criminal prosecution.

“This issue requires additional study.

In addition, actions to incite, encourage, and / or coordinate the storming of the Capitol - inter alia, causing congressional delays in fulfilling its constitutional obligations to the electoral college - may violate a number of criminal laws.

However, the decision on the need to present such charges is not within the competence of the Congress, ”the Democrat said in a statement.

Recall that the head of the administrative committee, Zoe Lofgren, was part of a group of prosecutors that represented the position of the House of Representatives during the Senate hearing on the impeachment of Donald Trump.

Palette of statements

Most of the attention in the document submitted by Lofgren is paid to the statements of the Republican Paul Gosar - Rep. From the state of Arizona.

Lofgren's report covers over 170 pages.

The emphasis is on those tweets of the politician in which he speaks, in particular, of falsifications.

“We will not tolerate falsification of voting results in Arizona,” Gosar wrote on his Twitter page on November 4, 2020.

I've just requested @GeneralBrnovich to look into this issue.

We can not tolerate voter fraud in Arizona.

Lofgren and her aides regarded Gosar's statement about the theft of an election victory as inappropriate.

"We (representatives of the Republican Party. -

) have gone so far and fought so hard not at all to steal our victory in the elections," the politician notes.

We haven't come this far and fought this hard to have the election stolen from us.

The second Republican to whom Lofgren's team paid close attention was Rep. Mo Brooks from Alabama, who wrote on social media that Democrats "cheat in the elections."

In addition, he called on Trump and Republicans to "fight against Biden's illegal claim to victory."

“As a member of the House of Representatives, I would never vote to ratify electoral votes from states where illegal voting distorted the will of the people who voted in accordance with the law,” Brooks wrote on November 7, 2020 on Twitter.

I urge @realDonaldTrump & Republicans to fight Biden's unlawful victory claims.

There's no way I'll vote in the House to ratify the Electoral College votes of states where illegal votes distorted the will of the people in those states who voted legally.https: //t.co/EEt4soixaS

Georgia's Rep. Taylor Greene was in the top three GOP references most often.

On November 5, 2020, on her Twitter page, she urged Republicans to "stand up and fight to end this theft."

“Now is not the time to retreat or surrender to the onslaught of the ultra-left and their allies in the fake news media.

This is the main struggle in our life, we must return Donald Trump!

Victory is ours! ”- wrote Green.

Every single Republican needs to be OUT FRONT and LEADING to STOP THE STEAL!

Now is not the time to back down or buckle to the radical left and their allies in the Fake News Media.

This is the fight of our life and we must have @ realDonaldTrump's back!

We will prevail!

Assault and aftermath

Recall that Donald Trump participated in the 2020 presidential elections, but his rival, Democrat Joe Biden, won them.

Voting took place on November 3, 2020.

In connection with the coronavirus pandemic, a record number of voters participated in the elections early, voting by mail, so the vote count was delayed.

Despite the fact that the electoral college voted for Biden as a result, Trump did not want to accept the results, claiming massive fraud and rigging.

The politician's lawyers attempted to challenge the results of the presidential race in the courts of several states, but the claims were rejected.

On January 6, as Congress was to approve the 2020 election results, Trump supporters rallied in Washington to protest Biden's victory.

Earlier, the 45th President of the United States repeatedly called on his associates to join the protests, and on the day of the rally, Trump made a speech in which he again called the results falsified.

After that, the action grew into a siege of the Capitol, where a meeting of the Congress was held.

Trump supporters were able to break into the building and staged a pogrom there.

Members of the Democratic Party demanded Trump's impeachment, accusing him of knowingly encouraging unrest.

And Joe Biden said that the participants in the storming of the Capitol must be treated like "internal terrorists."

On January 13, the House of Representatives of the US Congress approved a resolution to remove the 45th President of the United States from power under the article "Incitement to Rebellion."

However, a month later, the Senate acquitted the former head of state.

Meanwhile, all this time, proceedings were and continue to be conducted regarding the events of January 6, which are being dealt with, among other things, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the US Department of Justice.

In addition, a bipartisan commission was established to investigate the storming of the Capitol.

Currently, there are about 300 people under investigation, who are accused of criminal acts on the territory and in the building of the US Congress.

Twitter also began its campaign to punish the "guilty" in the events of January 6.

So, two days after the incident, the social network published a message about the indefinite blocking of the account of the 45th President of the United States due to "the risk of further incitement to violence."

According to the company, Trump's use of the phrase "American patriots" as a characterization of some of his supporters "can be perceived as words of support for those who committed violent actions in the Capitol."

"Weapons in the hands of the democrats"

According to Nikita Danyuk, social networks "can become a weapon in the hands of the Democrats and for real punishment of the Republicans."

“Representatives of the Democratic Party will try to cleanse platforms under their control from an alternative point of view, from accusations against them and inconvenient evidence,” the analyst said.

Instead, the Democrats will make every effort to get as much evidence as possible that "active supporters of Donald Trump are the very same" internal terrorists ", Danyuk believes.

“Perhaps even a special commission will be created within the lower house of Congress, which will take over such functions.

Court proceedings are already underway, but real punishments, including criminal terms, are still ahead, ”the expert believes.

Konstantin Blokhin, for his part, said that in this way the Democrats are trying to "intimidate the Republican Party."

“They need her to abandon such a popular phenomenon as Trumpism.

After all, in spite of everything, the Republicans now have no more popular, charismatic and ambitious person than Trump.

It is unlikely that they will have such a leader in 2024, ”the analyst concluded.
