Lörrach (dpa / lsw) - At a spontaneous meeting against an election campaign stand of the AfD, three police officers were attacked and slightly injured in Lörrach.

The officers were attacked on Saturday when several emergency services had just arrested three people on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm, the police said.

The police did not initially confirm that the election campaign stand belonged to the AfD.

The "Badische Zeitung" had previously reported.

According to the police, around 50 people had "spontaneously gathered near a party's election stand to loudly announce their protest" at noon.

According to the "Badische Zeitung", a man who was outside of the real scene initially shouted right-wing slogans.

A protester then knocked him to the ground and kicked him.

According to the police, a direct confrontation between the two opposing groups was prevented.

She is now investigating, among other things, assaulting law enforcement officers.

A total of five people were provisionally arrested.

A registered demonstration with around 60 people had already taken place in the morning in Weil am Rhein near an election stand of the AfD.

However, this ran smoothly.
