The most popular destinations for the weekend, which will last from 5 to 8 March, were Moscow, Sochi and St. Petersburg - 23%, 11% and 9.2% of air tickets were booked to these cities, respectively.

In addition, the list of the most popular destinations in the period under review included Simferopol (4.5%), Mineralnye Vody (3.7%), Krasnodar (3.4%), Kaliningrad (3.3%), Istanbul (2, 8%), Kazan (2.7%) and Makhachkala (2.1%).

At the same time, analysts clarified that a ticket to Istanbul and back became the most expensive - such a trip cost tourists an average of 19.7 thousand rubles.

Travelers who decided to go to Makhachkala were able to save a lot - the average cost of a ticket there turned out to be the lowest and amounted to 7.2 thousand rubles.

As for travel by rail, Moscow (27.4% of railway tickets purchased), St. Petersburg (13.6%), Nizhny Novgorod (2.5%), Kazan (1 , 9%) and Khabarovsk (1.6%).

The average price of such a trip in Russia has grown over the year - the cost of a ticket in 2021 was about 2.4 thousand rubles, while in 2020 it varied within 2.3 thousand rubles.
