The Nanterre court on Friday dismissed five former RN elected officials of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regional council who had taken the National Gathering to court, on the grounds that the facts were prescribed.

These former elected officials intended to obtain the reimbursement of sums which, according to them, had been illegally taken from them during their mandate.

The RN for its part denounced a "defamation".

These former candidates for the 2010 regional elections in the Paca region had signed as part of this campaign "a moral and political commitment" by which they undertook in particular, "irrevocably", to "respect the financial commitments contracted to the regard to movement ”.

To do this, each candidate had to give "to the national treasurer an authorization to direct debit from a bank account provided for this purpose", without any sum or quota being specified in the document.

"So that it (was) impossible for the contractor to know the extent of his obligation", underlined the plaintiffs in their summons.

But the Nanterre court ruled their requests "inadmissible" because they were time-barred since "initiated more than five years after the conclusion of the contested acts".

The five applicants were each ordered to pay 1,000 euros to their former party.
