This is stated in a statement by the Syrian Foreign Ministry.
"Syria fully condemns the unilateral sanctions of the United States and the European Union against Russia, which are fundamentally contrary to international law and are flagrant interference in the internal affairs of Russia," RIA Novosti was quoted as saying.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian authorities and business are working on a scenario for protecting Russian citizens and entrepreneurs from US sanctions.
