The number of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants within the past seven days was around 128 on Saturday, roughly the same as the previous day.

This comes from figures from the Thuringian State Chancellery and the Robert Koch Institute.

After that, there were 2,737 new infections within seven days.

Thuringia remains the federal state most severely affected by the pandemic and the only one with an incidence above 100. According to the latest resolutions of the federal and state governments, opening steps are possible at a threshold value below 100 at the earliest.

The Thuringian districts with the strongest infection rate were Greiz and Hildburghausen with an incidence of 217 and 214 respectively. Only a few districts in Bavaria had higher values ​​nationwide.
